What do you know about dung beetles?
Yes, dung beetles. They are small, inconspicuous insects that can be found in almost every hole. They are not noble, they are not cute, and they were not extinct when I wrote this. But these bugs do something interesting and unique - they take 'garbage," in other words, poops, and turn it into value. When we started researching dung beetles and how they work, we discovered a whole world of surprises, oddities and internal logic.
